Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham Chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was one of the cast members of Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 1990s. Barone was the actress's former wife in her first Friends performance. Jane Sibbett took over her role after Barone quit the show to pursue her full-time job. Barone was the lead in The Jeff Foxworthy Show's first season from 1995 to 1996 and The War at Home, from 2005 to 2007. Barone played a role on Daddio (2000). Barone is also famous for her TV roles on Desperate homewives Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline, In the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. Barone received the Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award in 2005 for her role in the show One Last Ride. The following year, three years since The War at Home ended it's running time, Barone started her role as a recurring character in Shake It Up, a Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up as Officer Georgia Jones the mother of Bella Thorne's character CeCe Jones. Matthew Glave played J.J. Jones, the former husband of Barone's character for two seasons.
